Since its launch on Friday June 19 until Sunday June 21, over a million iPhone 3GS models has been sold by Apple.
As Apple CEO Steve Jobs said, “Customers are voting and the iPhone is winning.”
“With over 50,000 applications available from Apple’s revolutionary App Store, iPhone momentum is stronger than ever.”
I guess the boost in sales could be due to the positive reviews from those who upgraded from their first-gen iPhone units to the latest 3GS model as the difference in speed is really noticeable. Another plus is the upgrade from 2-megapixel to 3-megapixel resolution for the camera. IMO, the increase in sales is not only based on Apple’s marketing strategy but more on word-of-mouth marketing and satisfied customer reviews.
