Another happy iPhone 3G S user

Here’s a positive first impression from Chicago Gadgets Examiner Zach Rhoads of Examiner.com on the iPhone 3G S. Rhoads used to own the first-gen iPhone and recently upgraded to the 3G S.
Well over my lunch break today, I upgraded from my 8Gb first-gen iPhone to a 32Gb iPhone 3GS, and I couldn’t be happier. After the unboxing, the very first thing I noticed was the speed increase in both the network and device performance. The 3G network is significantly faster than EDGE (something iPhone 3G users have known for almost a year now), and the processor in the 3GS is about 50% faster (up to about 600Mhz from 400Mhz). This leads to a very zippy feeling overall. Applications are extremely responsive and web pages load pretty quickly.

The only complaint he had was the slight inconvenience of reentering all his passwords for saved wireless networks and email accounts. Other than that, Rhoads recommends the 3G S for those who still own the first-gen iPhone.
