You might think they’re having a grand time giving the iPhone a serious beating but these guys from PC World are just testing out how tough the iPhone is should you happen to drop it on your bowl of cereal with milk or accidentally drop it on the sidewalk while having a phone call.
The stress tests for the first-gen iPhone was done by Eric Butterfield and after doing a scratch test with the keys on a simulated pocket and drop tests (on carpet, floor and sidewalk), the iPhone still worked. The second iPhone Stress Tests were more ‘brutal’ and conducted by Senior Editor Tim Moynihan and really made my heart skip a beat especially the last part.

After watching the videos, iPhone owners should know better now and take care of their units especially covering it with a protective case.
I’m sure the guys at PC World will be coming up with another torture test for the third-gen iPhone 3GS.
